The Mary Jo Small Staff Fellowship Award
The Mary Jo Small Staff Fellowship Award Program allows professional and scientific or merit staff members to attend international, national, or regional conferences and workshops that will aid them in their work. The application deadline is July 1 each year, for assistance needed the following fiscal year. (E.g., Apply by July 1, 2010 for a conference occurring between July 1, 2010 - June 30, 2011.) Applicants are notified in August of the same year.
Professional Development Awards
UI Learning & Development has identified funds for special professional development awards during the spring and fall semesters. Staff members employed in a regular appointment, 50% time or greater are sent an email notification twice a year. Those staff members who submit a completed award application form by the deadline are eligible for the award, and will be selected through a lottery drawing. Awardees may use the award to cover the fee for Learning & Development courses during the designated semester. Only one application per person will be accepted.
