The Active Office: Office Stretches

Looking for ways to energize the workday without taking a lot of time or space? This course includes stretches from the head to the toes, for both activity and stress reduction purposes. Stretches are low impact and require no equipment. After participating in this course, individuals should feel comfortable with stretching at work or home, knowing what they are stretching and the importance of stretching. Enjoy participating in the exercises during the demonstration.
- Understand the importance of small breaks for stretching/strength training throughout the workday.
- Know how to complete each stretch/exercise for continued use in a safe manner.
- Promote the importance of stretching/exercise to other co-workers, family, and friends.
- Understand resources available on campus for questions regarding activity participation.
Participants (audience course is aimed at):
This course is designed for individuals who have an interest in understanding and participating in basic stretches and/or strength training exercises. Although the course is created for office exercise, all activities can be done at home, while traveling or any other condition where space and equipment is a confounding factor for exercise.
