From information provided by the Working at Iowa survey data, we know that supervisory effectiveness, conflict management and performance management are important components of a successful work environment. This information, along with The University of Iowa’s Core Values, serve as the foundation of this course. This workshop will help supervisors understand and prepare for difficult conversations with employees and to make the switch from delivering a difficult message to a conversation involving mutual learning. The workshop will include small-group role plays to practice the skills learned.
