Supervisors have great impact on every employee’s performance and development. This course provides both an overview of recommended practices for supervisors and a discussion of your role in supporting them to begin and/or maintain positive proactive behaviors needed in a productive, sustaining workplace. Learn what HR reps can do consistently to support effective supervisory behaviors whether employees are exceeding, meeting, or not meeting expectations.
Objectives:
(At the end of this course participants will be able to)
- Recognize supervisory strategies that support employee productivity, development and recognition.
- Educate and coach supervisors to use recommended strategies that engage employees.
- Educate and coach supervisors to effectively change performance when needed.
- Understand the process of progressive discipline that will withstand challenges/scrutiny, and be able to coach supervisors in administering it.
