This workshop is for individuals who are looking for a basic investment overview. It will review the different asset classes of investments. A TIAA/CREF representative will describe these asset classes, their financial traits, and the factors which determine whether an investment is likely to help meet an objective. The presenter will define the different types of risks and how they apply to long-term, short-term, domestic, and international investments which are fixed or variable. The reviewing will include the range of model investment portfolios from conservative to aggressive.
