InSite: Information Technology Services If you visit the ITS web site regularly, you may have noticed it looking a little different this semester. The site is completely redesigned and reorganized. Now, users can choose two main ways of getting to the information they need. One set of links allows you to identify yourself as student, faculty, staff, researcher, or ITS staff, then offers information relevant to that group. A second set of links is organized by topic: academic computing, administrative computing, campus services, telecommunications & networking, and directors office. Some familiar features of the site include information on purchasing a computer, adding academic technology to a class, and on-line registration for short courses. The site is more dynamic than it was before, with a changing "spotlight" section that focuses on current issues. Keep checking the site for new features. What you see now is only phase one of a larger redesign. As the project moves on, more pages will be redesigned to match the new look of the home page. And webmaster Chris Pruess promises some new graphics featuring none other than Herky. If youre not a regular visitor to the site, this is a good time
to check out the range of services ITS offers. Visit www.its.uiowa.edu/its/.
