Moscow cardiologist comes to Iowa to discuss health care in Russia


Olga Morylova, cardiologist and head doctor at the Observation Dispensary Department Medicina, Moscow, will present a lecture titled, “Health care in Russia: Current trends and personal reflections.”

The lecture will be from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., June 24, in the Clasen Board Room at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

A catered lunch will be provided, and the lunch and lecture are free and open to the public.

The lecture is sponsored by the Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies (CREEES) and International Programs through the Stanley Small Projects Fund.

During June and July, Morylova is in Iowa City as one of two participants in the International Women in Science and Engineering (IWISE) Summer Leadership Program. Her scientific host during her stay is Barbara Muller, associate professor of clinical medicine, Department of Internal Medicine.
