More than 100 faculty from 30 academic departments have paired with 23
librarians to develop more than 250 web course environments that provide
students an information-rich learning experience. For more information

(33)5-6160. Area residents with one or more diabetes risk factors can take advantage
of a new University Health Care service that offers free screenings for
diabetes and impaired glucose tolerance, which can lead to diabetes. The
screening includes fasting and blood sugar and cholesterol tests. Risk
factors for diabetes include being overweight, having a family member
with diabetes, having diabetes during a pregnancy or a baby who weighed
more than 9 pounds at birth, having known high blood pressure or high
cholesterol, and being of Native American, African American, or Hispanic
descent. The UIHC clinic is open Monday-Friday mornings. To schedule a
screening, call UI Health Access, (38)4-8442. The deadline for submission of spring semester reserve lists is Dec. 10. Faculty who have not received forms may obtain them from their departmental librarian or from Reserve Services in the Main Library.
