Nominations sought for Council on Disability Awareness Achievement Award

The Council on Disability Awareness seeks nominations for its third annual Achievement Award. The award acknowledges individual or organizational efforts and achievements in facilitating the integration and inclusion of persons with disabilities in campus life or within the community at large.

Hancher Auditorium was the recipient of the first award, presented in 1997.

This year’s recipient will be announced during Martin Luther King Human Rights Week, on Jan. 19 from 4 to 5 p.m., in the South Room, IMU.

Criteria for nominations can be be found at www. uiowa.edu/~cda. For more information or to submit nominations, contact Jan Gorman, (33)5-2660, Faculty/Staff Disability Services, 121 USB. The deadline for submitting nominations is Dec. 17.
