Staff eligible for Mary Jo Small Fellowship

University of Iowa staff members who wish to participate in course work, regional, national, or international meetings or workshops, training opportunities off-campus, or are in need of work release time to prepare publications or reports can apply for funding from the Mary Jo Small Staff Fellowship offered through the Office of Staff Development. A key element of the request will be the way in which the applicant will use the funding to enhance their career and contribution to The University of Iowa.

Applicants must be employed by The University of Iowa at least half-time, for not less than two years from the date of application, in a position classified as office and clerical, service, technical, or professional and scientific, and must be employed by the University during the fellowship period. Recipients may be awarded up to $1,500 in support of expenses to cover the cost of their request.

The fellowship has been established in recognition of the significant support that Mary Jo Small provided to staff at The University of Iowa. The names of all award winners will be published in fyi and they will be recognized at the annual University Convocation ceremony held during the fall semester.
