Parking: Ring in the new, renew the old
Parking and Transportation has acquired 50 permits from the city of Iowa City for use in their Capitol Street parking ramp. The University name for this facility is Lot 62.
To be eligible for a Lot 62 permit, a faculty or staff member must be a 50 percent time or greater University permanent employee on University payroll; have an eligible work location; exchange any current University parking permit for the Lot 62 permit; and be the actual user of the permit.
Eligible work locations are: BB, BBE, BCSB, CC, CLSB, CMF, ERF, EPB, FSS, HLEA, HLMA, JB, JH, LC, LIB, LSB, MH, MLH, MP, NWB, OC, OMB, OPL, PH, PP, PS, SC, SH, SLP, SSH, USB, VAN, WP, Plaza Center 1, Firstar.
Faculty and staff must submit a waiting list request for Lot 62 either on-line at www.uiowa.edu/~fuspt or in a letter to the Parking Office, IMU Ramp. The Parking Office will develop separate faculty and staff Lot 62 waiting lists using University appointment dates. Most assignments will be made from these lists. Employees not receiving assignments will remain on the waiting list and will be contacted when space becomes available. The current fee for the permit is $39 per month and can be payroll deducted on a pretax basis.
