Staff from Elder Services, Inc., will be on campus Dec. 12 for "One-on-one elder care guidance, information, and referral," a service that provides an opportunity for faculty, staff, and students to discuss their elder caregiving responsibilities privately with a nurse or a social worker. The Womens Resource and Action Center (WRAC) will sponsor "Nonprofit financial management basics," a workshop for board members, staff, volunteers, donors, and anyone who wants to understand better the fiscal aspects of a nonprofit organization, from 9am to noon, Dec. 9, in the Iowa Room IMU. Presenter Kate Tarpey will address topics such as taxes, the budgeting process, how to read financial statements, and understanding the financial management of your nonprofit organization.
