Catalyst Awards invite nominations by May 24

The Office of Affirmative Action is accepting nominations for its fourth annual Catalyst Awards, which honor diversity initiatives that promote the development of an inclusive, diverse campus community.

One award will be given to an individual or individuals, one to a department. Deadline for nominations is May 24.

In 2001, recipients were Akwasi Boateng, food production supervisor II in the Department of Food and Nutrition Services at University of Iowa Health Care, and Eugene Madison, professor of mathematics. The Department of Theatre Arts received the department/unit award.

Recipients receive a $250 cash award and are honored at a reception.
