WRAC offers support groups

The Women's Resource and Action Center (WRAC) is offering a number of new discussion and support groups this summer:

• "Women in touch," a weekly discussion group for lesbian and bisexual women,
6:30-8:30pm, Tuesdays beginning June 11;

• "Single moms support group," a drop-in group designed to help women cope with parenting on their own, 6-7:30pm, Mondays through Aug. 12;

• "Interracial intersections," open, honest discussions about personal, familial, and societal issues related to being involved in an interracial relationships, 7-8:30pm, Wednesdays through Aug. 5.

Dance classes available

The Department of Dance will be offering Saturday and weekday classes to children, students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community through the Dance Forum Program. The program offers a full range of dance styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, and modern.

Summer session classes begin June 24 and continue through August 3, with no classes on July 4. All classes meet in Halsey Hall. Highlights include a special evening workshop for adults interested in exploring creativity and reducing stress through movement, and weeklong
morning dance camps in July for children.

Nursing conference to be held

The College of Nursing will host the fourth annual Institute on Nursing Informatics and Classification June 23-26.

The institute will present the latest developments in the standardized nursing languages of Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC) and Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC) as well as cutting-edge content in nursing informatics. John Ware, CEO of Quality Metric Incorporated, and Charles Inlander, president of People's Medical Society, will give keynote addresses.

Nurses and nursing administrators interested in designing, implementing, and evaluating nursing information systems and those interested in learning more about standardized nursing language are encourage to attend. For more information, contact Jennifer Clougherty at (33)5-7119.
