Health programs offered

Counseling and Health Promotion Services will offer three health programs beginning this month:

Responding to Life’s Challenges is an eight-week program based on mindfulness meditation to manage chronic conditions and stress. Three time slots are available beginning Jan. 21. Fee is $360.

Balanced Choices is a 12-week program based on a lifestyle approach to weight management using nutrition, physical activity, and a supportive environment. Two sessions are available beginning Jan. 21. Fee is $400.

Weight Management Educational Series is an eight-week program for individuals interested in managing their weight through lifestyle change. Classes begin Jan. 13. Fee is $100.

Rec Services starts e-mail list service

An electronic mailing list now is available from the Division of Recreational Services. The list will be used to send out periodic announcements about such things as intramural deadlines, new aerobic classes, updates for lesson programs, and outdoor recreation.
