Teaching
volunteerism
Incorporating volunteer
service into classroom learning can transform students
into active, responsible
citizens, and the Center for Teaching (CFT) can
help instructors find innovative ways to begin
that transformation.
The CFT’s Introduction to Service Learning
workshop, noon-1:30pm, Oct. 29, will provide ideas
about how to develop, monitor, and assess classroom
activities that integrate volunteer service into
the curriculum.
Lunch will be provided. Enrollment is limited to
20 participants. Call the CFT at (33)5-6048 to
register.
