Jay Currie, clinical professor in the College of Pharmacy, was named a fellow by the American Pharmaceutical Association-Academy of Pharmacy Practice and Management. Noel Estrada-Hernandez, assistant professor of counseling, rehabilitation, and student development in the College of Education, received a 2007 American Rehabilitation Counseling Association Research Award. Nagi Gebraeel, assistant professor of mechanical and industrial engineering in the College of Engineering, received a Faculty Early Career Development Award for 2006-2007 from the National Science Foundation. Janet Guthmiller, director of the dental student research program in the College of Dentistry, received the Student Research Group Mentor Award from the American Association for Dental Research. Jodi Saunders, associate professor of counseling, rehabilitation, and student development in the College of Education, received a 2007 American Rehabilitation Counseling Association Research Award. Alec Scranton, professor of chemical and biochemical engineering and associate dean for academic programs in the College of Engineering, received the 2007 Cooperative Research Award in Polymer Science and Engineering from the American Chemical Society. Edward Wasserman, professor of psychology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, is coeditor of Comparative Cognition: Experimental Explorations of Animal Intelligence [Oxford University Press], which received an honorable mention in competition for the R.R. Hawkins Award for the Outstanding Professional, Reference, or Scholarly Work of 2006 from the Professional and Scholarly Publishing Division of the Association of American Publishers.
