Students in the University’s Center for the Book can learn the mechanics of letterpress printing on one of the finest pieces of print technology in the world, the Vandercook proof press. There are two of them in North Hall, in the center’s Type Kitchen and Professional Studio. The North Hall print studios house many drawers of type, including type made of wood.
