See Offices and AwardsPaul Baumert, staff physician in Student Health Service, was named president of the North Central College Health Association. Lori Branch, associate professor of English in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, won the Book of the Year Award from the Conference on Christianity and Literature. Joseph Cavanaugh, associate professor of biostatistics in the College of Public Health, has been reappointed as an associate editor for the Journal of the American Statistical Association and the American Statistician for a three-year term. R. William Field, professor of occupational and environmental health and epidemiology in the College of Public Health, was appointed to the executive committee of the World Health Organization’s International Radon Project. Dawn Gentsch, adjunct lecturer in community and behavioral health in the College of Public Health and program associate in the Institute for Public Health Practice, received the 2007 SOPHE Award from the Society for Public Health Education. John Moloney, assistant food production manager/chef in the Iowa Memorial Union, earned a Certified Executive Chef designation from the American Culinary Federation. Marta VanBeek, assistant professor in the Department of Dermatology in the Carver College of Medicine, received the North American Young Dermatologist International Achievement Award from the International League of Dermatological Societies.
