Offices and Awards

Nancy Andreasen, professor of psychiatry in the Carver College of Medicine, received the 2007 Distinguished Investigator Award from the National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression: the Mental Health Research Association.

Susan Assouline, associate director of the Belin-Blank Center, received a Mensa Education & Research Foundation and Mensa International, Ltd., Award for Excellence in Research.

Megan Foley Nicpon, administrator for the Blank-Belin Center’s assessment and counseling clinic, received a Mensa Education & Research Foundation and Mensa International, Ltd., Award for Excellence in Research.

David Lohman, professor of psychological and quantitative foundations in the College of Education, was awarded the 2007 Distinguished Scholar Award from the National Association for Gifted Children.

Curt Sigmund, professor of internal medicine and molecular physiology and biophysics in the Carver College of Medicine, will receive the 2007 Arthur C. Corcoran Memorial Lecture Award from the Council for High Blood Pressure Research of the American Heart Association.

Christopher Squier, associate dean for research and graduate studies in the College of Dentistry, was awarded an honorary membership of the British Society for Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology in London.
