It's about time, it's about place, it's about artifacts from the human race

The Office of the State Archaeologist (OSA), a research unit of The University of Iowa, works to disseminate and preserve knowledge of Iowa’s human past through Midwestern and Plains archaeological research, scientific discovery, public stewardship, service, and education. In late June, the OSA conducted site-eligibility testing in Missouri in an area where a pipeline is to be constructed. If this site is determined to have research potential, OSA personnel will conduct another, more extensive dig.
