Social networking sites. Personal response systems. Podcasting. High-def DVDs. Wiki software. Sounds like the sorts of things that students might use in their free time.
But many instructors at The University of Iowa are incorporating these tools in their courses, bridging the generational "digital divide" while engaging their students in their teachings.
The Board of Regents, State of Iowa, and The University of Iowa are inviting all members of the University of Iowa community to attend the installation of Sally Mason as the 20th president of The University of Iowa at 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 9, in Hancher Auditorium.
We don't mean that in a "Big Brother" surveillance kind of way. It just means we sent photographer Tom Jorgensen up in an airplane to capture the beautiful aerial views of campus that can be found in Iowa on your average autumn day.
