Christine Whelan, visiting assistant professor of sociology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, on a survey she conducted that found that men are increasingly interested in educated women who are good financial prospects, while women are increasingly interested in men who desire a home and family (Des Moines Register, Feb. 6).
