Venise Berry, associate professor of journalism and mass communication, recipient of an Honor Book Award from the Black Caucus of the American Library Association for her novel, All of Me.

Nicholas Colangelo, director of the Belin-Blank International Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development, inducted into the Iowa Academy of Education.

Tracey Griesbaum, head coach of women’s field hockey, named the United States Field Hockey National Coach of the Year.

Hancher Auditorium, recipient of the 2000 Award for Adventurous Programming from the Chamber Music Association and the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers.

Diane Huber, associate professor of nursing, recipient of a 2000 Book of the Year Award from the American Journal of Nursing for her textbook, Leadership and Nursing Care Management.

Debora Liddell, associate professor of counseling, rehabilitation, and student development, recipient of the Iowa Student Personnel Association’s Distinguished Service Award.
