InSite: Click your way to wellness

Stressed? Unsure about nutrition? Forget how often you should be getting a sigmoidoscopy now that you’ve hit the big 5-0?

Log on to www.uiowa.edu/~hrpersvc/wellness, the UI Wellness web site.

The site promotes behaviors that support good health and prevent disease. It includes timely information about wellness-related events and programs on campus (see "Healthy news from UI Wellness" ), a set of links to UI offices like the Health Protection Office and Recreation Services, and a wealth of information about nutrition, exercise, stress management, and other wellness topics.

There are also a number of interactive features. Users can click on "Wellness Screenings" for a set of computerized quizzes. These can check your stress levels, screen for depression, candidly determine your dependency on alcohol, or do a comprehensive 15-minute health risk assessment.

So exercise those mouse-clicking muscles, and get the information to improve your own wellness.
