Fund-raising dinner benefits women's organizations

The Celebration of Excellence and Achievement Among Women, the University’s annual tribute to the accomplishments of all women at the University, has become a tradition at Iowa. For the past several years, this celebration has been accompanied by a fund-raising dinner. The Celebration Committee invites application from organizations wishing to be the recipient of the proceeds from the March 27, 2001, dinner.

Past dinner beneficiaries include the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Program, Women’s Resource and Action Center, the Council on the Status of Women, Women in Computer Science, the Lactation Facilities, and most recently, Women in Business. Each group has raised approximately $1,000.

University organizations, departments, and programs that primarily serve University of Iowa women through their academic programming, service activities, or scholarship opportunities are eligible to apply. If interested, please send this application to the Celebration Committee, 111 Jessup Hall, by Jan. 8, 2001.
