Geneva IMPACT

We at Geneva Campus Ministry (GCM) believe that followers of Jesus Christ are called to make an impact on the world, and that undergraduate students are ready and able to do so. We are committed to serving Christ, but warmly welcome doubters, seekers, the curious, and those of other faiths to join us. Participate in any or all of these activities:

IMPACT Teams –be part of one or more volunteer teams:    

Team 1: F.I.R.E.

Outreach to kids in the community, grades 3-6

Play, teach, be a friend and mentor

Ministry of New Life Community Church (RCA), 106 2nd Ave., Coralville (rides provided) Every Wednesday evening, 6-8 p.m. (meal included)

IMPACT Connections

Gather at the beginning and end of the semester

Get to know everyone better, share your team’s experiences, eat and worship together

Meet at the Wesley Center, 120 N. Dubuque St.,

4-6 p.m., Sunday evenings, Sept. 9, Dec. 9

Team 2: Widernet

Rehabs used computers for use in developing countries Offers computers, training, and the “internet in the box” to universities in developing countries

Test, prepare, repair, or package used computers Research an area of need (e.g. a health issue) for the “internet in a box”

Offered by Christ for the City International

Help with eight ministries to kids, the hungry,

the homeless, the poor in inner-city Omaha

Worship with African-American and

Hispanic congregations

Friday afternoon to Sunday evening, probably

the first weekend of spring break,

March 14-16
