The Finding God at Iowa Speakers

This series of monthly lunch meetings is designed to stimulate participants through brief talks by speakers who desire to share how their faith influences their lives in the academy.  The form was inspired by the book Finding God at Harvard (Kelly Monroe, Zondervan, 1996), an edited collection of short narratives written by professors, students, staff, and alums that many of us have found to be an encouragement as we reflect on integrating faith with our work.

Our noon gatherings (no longer than an hour) occur on the first Friday of each month in River Room 1 of the Iowa Memorial Union.  Please note that there is no gathering in January.

“Finding God at Iowa”is designed to complement the well-known Geneva Lecture Series, an outreach of the Geneva Campus Ministry.  We look forward to seeing you in the near future.

Updated information coming soon!

All meetings will be held from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. in River Room #1 of the Iowa Memorial Union

We invite you to consider participating in a dialog this coming year, for Scripture says:
"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." (Proverbs 27:17)

We hope that “Finding God at Iowa”can encourage a healthy environment for the life of the spirit and the life of the mind.
