Croatian-born
Miroslav Volf has been the Henry B. Wright Professor of Theology at
Yale Divinity School since 1998. As a young man in Communist Yugoslavia,
Volf saw firsthand the ethnic frictions that turned bloody after the
breakup of that country. His quest for a resolution to the violence
and bloodshed in his country led him on a journey of intense theological
reflection which soon caught the notice of the academic world. Professor
Volf received his Th. D. (summa cum laude) from the University of
Tubingen and is the author of many books and scholarly articles published
in various languages.
