Naresh Kumar investigates how GIS is used in organizing spatial environmental data; he is particularly interested in linking air quality data to health using GIS and remote sensing.

Marc Linderman utilizes remote sensing data to examine human/environment interactions, land cover change, and ecosystem dynamics; his work has focused on the tallgrass prarie region of the U.S., southwest China, and across the continent of Africa.

Claire Pavlik is instructor for Introduction to Human Geography and the Global Economy, both General Education Program courses in the  Social Science area.  She also teaches Mapping American Cities and  Regions, which uses a GIS-based approach to examine the social  geography of US cities.
