Research Interests
I am interested
in various practical and theoretical problems related
to groundwater, such as the effect of pumping on nearby
wells and potential contamination by a landfill or
leaking underground storage tanks. I do hydrogeological
investigations with geological mapping, lab column
experiments, slug/bail and pumping tests, geostatistical
analysis, and groundwater modeling. I also conduct
theoretical research to study the effects of physical,
chemical, and biological heterogeneities of geological
material on water flow and chemical transport in soils
and aquifers.
