I am a graduate student working on my Ph.D. in Foreign Language and ESL Education and am a TA in the German Department. A native of Heidelberg, Germany, I completed my undergraduate studies in English and German at the Universität Heidelberg. I received my M.Ed. from Carthage College, WI where I also worked as a German TA for two years. Prior to coming to the UI, I worked at the Milwaukee German Immersion School as a second grade teacher for two years. Some of my specific areas of interest include curriculum development and materials design, foreign language pedagogy, and teacher education. I love traveling and exploring new cultures, meeting new people and learning new things, reading, music, movies, and hanging out with friends and family.
