Rummage in the Ramp is an Iowa City-sponsored effort to keep tons of reusable items out of the landfill and get it to those who need it when the lease changeover occurs annually at the end of July. Environmental and human services non-profit groups provide the labor and split the profits. Donations are tax-deductible and most items are priced at $1, $5, $10 and $20.

The National Academy of Sciences Board on Atmospheric Sciences and Climate has released the 2008 Edition of "Understanding and Responding to Climate Change."

UI Sustainability information is now available on the Go Green website thanks to a team of student volunteers!

Daum Paper Contest: RA's in Daum residence hall collected paper from their residents for one week to raise awareness about recycling. All of the paper weighed over 2,000 lbs. and was taken to City Carton to be recycled!

Welcome to Go Green

The Go Green website provides information and resources to University of Iowa students, faculty and staff, and members of the larger community. This site helps meet community needs because it:

builds awareness of environmental projects and initiatives in the local community (both on and off campus);
provides a calendar of events and opportunities in the local community related to environmental issues and concerns;
provides useful web-based resources related to environmental issues and concerns; and
increases visibility of UI sustainability metrics.
