PROFILE: MARK J. BRAUN Mark J. Braun joined the Board of Regents staff in September 2004, having served six years at the University of Iowa in a state governmental relations position. He is currently assigned to the University of Iowa and serves as a primary public affairs and legislative contact for the Board of Regents, State of Iowa. He has served as a staff member for the Iowa State Senate, and a staff member for Congressman Jim Nussle. He received his B.A. in political science from the University of Iowa and his B.S. in public administration from Upper Iowa University. Back to Staff Directory

 

 

 

The Board of Regents is a group of nine citizen volunteers who govern the state’s three public universities and two special K-12 schools – the School for the Deaf and the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School – through policymaking, coordination and oversight.
