Note From the Editor
On November 16, 1995, Current Research in Social Psychology (an electronic journal, http://www.uiowa.edu/~grpproc) published its 3rd issue, "The Coalition Structure of the Four-Person Family," by Ike Grusky, Phil Bonacich, and Cynthia Webster of UCLA. The study reports data from a sample of families and uses network analysis techniques. Results confirm the significance of this novel approach.
The paper was first submitted to CRISP for review October 30, 1995. The 17 day period between first submission and publication sets a new record for fast publication of a peer-reviewed article in a social science journal. (Any contender for the record should present evidence of faster publication.)
We have had inquiries about the correct way to refer to a CRISP article in a research paper. We decided on the following:
Grusky, Oscar, Phillip Bonacich, and Cynthia Webster. 1995. "The Coalition Structure of the Four-Person Family." Current Research in Social Psychology <http://www.uiowa.edu/~grpproc> 1:17-26.
The colon is preceded by the volume number and followed by page numbers. The name of the journal should be italicized but not the electronic address.
We eagerly await your manuscript in any area of social psychology, including many areas usually thought of as organizations, networks, crime, or family research. If there is a social psychological component to your work, we would like to see it. Please consult the Notice to Contributors in CRISP or email me for further information.
