The Travel Funds
Committee allocates funds from the Graduate College to graduate student
applicants for the purpose of presenting their work at meetings,
symposia, conferences, or other professional or academic gatherings.
The deadlines for
submitting 2007-2008 travel funds applications are:

November 8, 2007
January 31, 2008
March 6, 2008
May 22, 2008
NOTICE: The application for
GSS Travel Funds has recently been revised (January 2008). Please download and use the
form below (GSS_TF_app_v12008b.pdf).
This will be the only application version accepted.
Please note! The new
application (GSS_TF_app_v12008b.pdf) is an Adobe PDF Fill-In-Form. You
may download a copy to your computer, however, YOU CAN NOT SAVE A
FILLED IN FORM! For submission, please fill in required fields and
print the form.
To view/use form, user must have Adobe Acrobat
Reader installed. Please follow this link

SPECIAL NOTE TO APPLE USERS!
With most Mac OS, the default PDF viewing program is called "Apple Preview." This program does not read the built-in java scripting that controls the interactive fields in the forms, therefore you will experience limited functionality. BE SURE THAT YOU OPEN THE PDF FILL-IN-FORMS IN ACROBAT READER! (To open a PDF with a different program, select the PDF document to open. Select Get Info in the File menu. In the Info window, click the tab: Open with. Use the dropdown menu to select Adobe Reader).

Senate (GSS) Travel Funds are awarded for travel to both domestic
and international conferences.

If you would like to view anonymous statistics regarding funding results, please email the Chair (timothy-paschkewitz@uiowa.edu) with your specific questions and interest. All reasonable requests will be honored on as timely of a basis as possible.
The Graduate Student Senate Travel Funds Committee is pleased to announce something new! To further promote, encourage, and recognize scholarly research performed at The University of Iowa, we will feature a GSS Travel Funds Awardee each month. Other offices and organizations provide support
for student travel to present at conferences. Among them is the
Scholarly Presentations and Research Grants (SPRG) committee of the
Executive Council of Graduate and Professional Students (ECGPS).
