| The University of Iowa Water Polo
Team is a competitive collegiate club water polo
team. We are recognized by The University of Iowa
Office of Student Life as an official student
organization and are sponsored by the University of
Iowa Recreational Services Department. We are funded
in part by the Student Government and Recreational
Services, however, the majority of our funding comes
from club fund raisers as well as membership fee's of
$40/semester, and private and corporate donations.
The Mission of this team is to promote water
polo in Iowa and the Midwest and to offer students
and residents an opportunity to compete in the spirit
of amateur athletics. Through our recent growth, we
continue to strive to become a competitive power in
the Midwest and on the National Collegiate Club
Circuit.

Because of growing numbers, we have divided into
separate men's and women's teams. Both the men's and
women's teams participate in the Big Ten Conference.
