Monday, October 5, 2009

The 7th Annual Alumni Game took place last month with the current team winning for the third straight year. For those counting at home, the current team now leads the all-time series, 4-3. Eddie Lee and Gary Eimerman sent in a few pictures from the weekend, which are now up on the site under the photos section, but if anyone else has any more, please e-mail them to me.

Iowa's next fall game will take place on October 23, 2009 against Augustana at the Hawkeye Rec Fields at 7:00 PM. Iowa will end its fall season against Iowa State in an indoor game at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa on December 5, 2009 at 3:00 PM before the Colorado Mammoth take on the Minnesota Swarm in a NLL preseason game at 7 PM.

Anyone interested in going should e-mail iowahawkeyelacrosse@gmail.com for tickets. The team will be selling tickets for $20 (better view) and $11 and this cost does not include tax or arena fees like if you bought from the arena. All the money from tickets bought from the Iowa Lacrosse team goes directly to the team and helps pay for the upcoming season, so help the team out and check out some professional lacrosse in the process.
