The University Lecture Committee welcomes historian and activist Howard Zinn. Zinn is the author of a number of books and essays, most notably A People’s History of the United States, The Politics of History, SNCC: The New Abolitionists, and the memoir You Can’t be Neutral on a Moving Train. For a thoughtful critique of Zinn’s work as an historian, see Michael Kazin, “Howard Zinn’s History Lessons” Dissent (Winter 2004). |
