Email: henry-horwitz@uiowa.edu

Henry Horwitz came to the University of Iowa in 1963. His research and teaching focused on the study of Early Modern England, English Legal History, and Early Modern Europe. He received degrees from Oxford University (D.Phil, Modern History, 1963) and University of Iowa College of Law (J.D. in 1982).

Since Henry retired from the Department of History in April 2004, a prize in recognition of Henry's important role in initiating the "Issues in Human History" courses at the University of Iowa has been developed.
