Malcolm J. Rohrbough

Malcolm Rohrbough has been a respected faculty member of the Department of History at the University of Iowa for many years. He is an authority on the American West, the days of the California gold rush, and the American frontier. Malcolm continues research on the French and the California Gold Rush.

He received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1963, joining the faculty at the University of Iowa shortly after. He retired from teaching at the University of Iowa in the spring of 2008.
