Summer Fellowship for Research in Early American History

For Liberal Arts Juniors and their Faculty Advisors: The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, in cooperation with the Society for Historians of the Early American Republic (SHEAR) and the McNeil Center for Early American Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, award 10 Undergraduate Research Fellowships for a Summer Research Seminar.  Successful applicants, working with program directors, and with their own college faculty advisors, spend 3 weeks in residence at the McNeil Center in Philadelphia conducting research toward a Senior Thesis on some aspect of early American history.  Awards include a generous stipend, housing, reimbursement for travel and expenses.  For complete details and application information check online at http://www.shear.org/mellon/
