(free) Midterms/Finals Child Care Program For Student Families with Children — a Collaboration between Little Angels Learning Center and the Family Services Office
Purpose –
To provide to student parents free, safe and quality child care during midterms and finals to achieve academic success.Location of Care and Contact Information-
Little Angels Learning Center (located one block east of the College of Business).

Eligibility Process –
The student parent has a child under age 13 years and the student is:
- currently enrolled at least half-time or is involved in academic responsibilities equivalent to half-time at the UI (exceptions may be possible);
- is seeking a UI degree: undergraduate or graduate (professional, Master’s or Ph.D.), and
- resides with the child when the care is needed.

- provide infant cereal and/or baby jar food and prepared formula/breastmilk in bottles.
- cancel a reserved slot at a minimum of three days prior to scheduled services.

Office of Student Financial Aid (335-1450)
Student loans through the Office of Financial Aid may be available to help with child care costs. To apply, the student must have a FAFSA, federal tax return and University of Iowa Verification Form on file at the Office of Student Financial Aid.
For student loan purposes, child care is considered a special circumstance. For more information as to the explanation of special circumstances, visit http://www.uiowa.edu/financial-aid/apply07-08/specialcircumstances.
Towards the bottom of the web site noted above, you will find a link to the form, Request for Childcare Expense Adjustment. You must download the form, have your child care provider verify your monthly costs, and then submit the form to the Office of Financial Aid.
