At the University of Iowa, I hold a dual position as an instructor within the Department of Health and Sport Studies (HSS) and as the Fitness Specialist within Health Iowa/Student Health Service.  This unique appointment allows me to use my expertise in physical activity as an educator and practitioner.  In addition to teaching a variety of exercise-related courses within the HSS health promotion track, I direct the Health and Physical Activity Skills Program.  This program offers sport and fitness-related instruction to over 4,000 UI students each year.
