Humanities Iowa awards $160,036 in grants to non-profits

Humanities Iowa, the local affiliate for the National Endowment for the Humanities, awarded $160,036 in grants to fund projects across the state during its board meeting June 12-13 at Iowa State University.

This year, the major grants – which include grants of more than $3,000 – will be distributed to 17 different organizations. The projects that received HI funding range from a documentary on Sioux City native and advice columnist Ann Landers to a celebration of the history of the legendary Lincoln Highway.
