Humanities Iowa, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, granted $3,000 to the YWCA Clinton for the 23rd Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration at Clinton Community College on Sunday, January 16th at 3:00 PM. According to Project director, Shannon Sander-Welzien, the celebration will include a theatrical presentation about the fictional meeting of Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcom X and a performance by the Ashford University Inspirational Choir. The celebration is free and open to the public.
