HI Grants $1,500 for an On Air Radio Reading & Discussion

Humanities Iowa, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, granted $1,500 to the Friends of Rippey for the “Raccoon River Valley Reads” project. The project includes a reading and discussion of “Driftless” on the KDLS radio station in Perry, Iowa from January 3-February 28, 2011 from 6:30-7:30pm. The project, according to Project Director, Mary Weaver, will be hosted by retired librarian, Emily Weaver and KDLS announcer, Shawn Kenney. The on air discussion will also be open for callers to contribute to the discussion.
