Students
Jennifer Danilson
Jeni Danilson is a junior from Boone, Iowa. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Bijou Theatre, is a member of the U of I Women's Ultimate Frisbee Club team, and works as a clerk for Rep. Donovan Olson in the Iowa House of Representatives. Jeni is persuing degrees in Political Science and International Studies as well as a certificat in nonprofit management. Upon graduating in May 2009, she plans to obtain a graduate degree in International Relations and hopes to one day work abroad.
Eric Kusiak
Eric is from Iowa City, IA and is a senior who will be graduating in the Fall of 2008. He is double majoring with a B.S. in Political Science and a B.A. in Philosophy with departmental honors. He is also writing an honors research thesis with Professor Fumerton on liberty and the limits of government. In the summer of 2007, he interned as a clerk at the Johnson County Attorney's Office in the Victim/Witness Assistance Program. He is currently a member of the Iowa City Human Rights Commission and will be serving his term until January 1st, 2010. He plans to attend law school and work for the public sector with an interest in civil, social, environmental and criminal policy.
Katherine Morrison
Katherine is a junior from Deerfield, IL majoring in Political Science. She is the president of her chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha and active in Phi Alpha Delta. She is an at-large University of Iowa Student Government Senator. Following graduation in May 2009, Katherine plans to attend law school with goals of eventually working within state or national government.
Hannah Olson
Hannah is a sophomore from Burlington, IA studying Political Science. After graduation (2010) she would like to spend a few years with a service organization like AmeriCorps or Teach for America, following which she plans to attend law school.
Whitney Carson
Whitney is a sophomore from Swisher, Iowa. She is currently serving as the Vice President Panhellenic of Kappa Alpha Theta. She is active in her community through programs such as Dance Marathon and the Best Buddies Program. She is double majoring in Political Science and Spanish and plans to travel abroad before attending law school after her May 2010 graduation..
Aly Dolan
Aly is a third year student from Elgin, Illinois. She is a reporter for Huffington Post Off-the-Bus, and PR director for Public Relations Student Society of America. Aly will graduate in December of 2008 with degrees in Political Science and Journalism. After graduation, her goal is to work in government and media relations involving campaign elections.
Jamie Budler
Jamie is from Arlington Heights, Illinois. She is a Political Science and Communications double major and hopes to attend Law School after graduation. She is a member of Phi Eta Sigma and Alpha Lamda Delta Honors Fraternities as well as the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She is also a member of the sorority Alpha Phi. Next summer she will be attending school in Greece and then will graduate in May 2010.
Kelle Goranson
Kelle is a freshman from Hampton, Iowa. He is an open major. He has played trumpet in the Hawkeye Marching Band. Kelle plans to attend Law School shortly after graduation.
Josh Anderson
Josh Anderson is a sophomore at the University of Iowa from Tipton, Iowa. He is a Political Science and International Studies major. He is the executive events coordinator of the University Democrats, a member of the Dean's Student Advisory Committee, and a Tour Guide for UI Admissions Office. He plans on attending law school upon graduation and aspires to join the Peace Corps.
Maeryn Goldman
Maeryn is a sophomore from Ames, Iowa. She is a member of Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority, Phi Eta Sigma Honors Fraternity, a University of Iowa Writing Fellow, and President of the Roosevelt Institution. She will graduate in May 2010 with a B.S. in Political Science and a B.A. in International Studies. After graduation she intends on entering the Peace Corps, after which she will pursue a PhD in international government and her JD.
Michael Schroeder
Michael is a sophomore from Bloomingdale, Illinois, double majoring in Political Science and History. Last summer he did an internship at The Gloor Law Group in Chicago, Illinois. He is a member of the Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity and will be graduating in May 2010. After graduation he plans to attend law school.
Stephanie Crowley
Stephanie is a junior from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She is studying political science and history. After graduating she plans on pursuing a career in politics and public service.
Jeshua Harbaugh-Williams
Jeshua is a second-year student from Waterloo, Iowa. He is pursuing a B.A. in Political Science and a certificate in the "Philosophies and Ethics of Politics, Law, and Economics." After graduating in May 2010, he plans on either attending graduate school or going to work for a civic-minded organization.
