Joining the IPRO organization!

Are you a University of Iowa undergraduate student interested in joining the IPRO team? Great! We're looking for a wide variety fo students with good writing and research skills. We are NOT limiting membership to Political Science or Pre-Law students. In addition to writing abilitiy, IPRO needs applicants who are able to think critically and stay up to date on current events. Student staff members are also in charge of monitoring bills of interest in the legislature, maintaining this website, and other work as needed. Don't worry, the application procedure isn't too laborious, but space in IPRO is limited, so get started now.

Please review our qualification and application procedure below:

To Qualify for Application:

You should be interested in public policy and have a general awareness and understanding of current issues.

You should be proficient in writing and critical thinking.

You need to be able to take Professor Tom Rice's 1 s.h. "Public Policy Research Practicum" in the Spring of the coming year.

You need to be able to take the follow up 3 s.h. "Problems in American Politics" the following Fall Semester (don't worry about scheduling, the meeting time for this course is set in consultation with all the students from the Public Policy Research Practicum).
