Registration deadline:The next event is December 7, 2011.

Registration Information (deadline December 1, 2011)

Students involved in research can present their work at the Fall Undergraduate Research Festival (FURF), held at the end of the fall semester. This conference, started in 2009 and is co-hosted by the Iowa Center for Research by Undergraduates, University Honors Program, Office of the Vice President for Research and the Office of the Provost.. Students supported by an ICRU research fellow award will be presenting their research, but other University of Iowa undergraduates, especially those completing honors theses or projects, are encouraged to join the forum by presenting their research. Students can present research in any stage of completion. Posters are not required for registration submission.

FURF allows students to highlight what they have accomplished, share their work with others, and gain presentation experience. Students present their work in a poster format, which is a common format used at professional meetings and provides an open forum for discussion.

Please see the presentation resources section for "How to make a poster." Research Ambassadors often offer sessions on making a poster. Please see the calendar of events for more details.
